Editors Take Over Los Angeles, Cinespace TONIGHT
![]() FEATURED ARTIST: EDITORS official site myspace Editors - "Bullets" (MP3) Editors - "Fingers In The Factories" (MP3) Editors - "Munich" (MP3) Ahhh back at work from the three day weekend. I didn't get half ofr what i wanted to get done this weekend. I did switch bedrooms with my roomate and go see The King Of France and The Helio Sequence on Friday. I didn't finish the website i was working on (MUTHER FUCKING SLOW ASS COMPUTER!!!!) And I missed Editors at Spaceland last night. Boy Im glad I did. From what I've heard the show was completely PACKED. There was a line out the door and around the corner. Which is all well and good for Editors, but bad for a clausterphobic blogger such as myself. I'll have my redemption TONIGHT when the band plays Cinespace. Editors are playing a couple of free shows in Los Angeles this week in support of their album, The Back Room. The band just released the second single, "Munich," off the album on January 2nd and have been snaking the U.S. in support of it. Editors seemed to have slipped into the U.S. without much fanfare considering their next UK Tour has already SOLD OUT and the album is getting RAVE reviews from across the pond. Editors could be the undiscovered jem you are looking for in your wanton nights out in LA. **Editors will play Cinespace TONIGHT. Show is FREE w/ rsvp. Rsvp to franki@frankichan.com ![]() Be Your Own Pet Be Your Own Pet have also made their way back to Los Angeles. The pre-pubescent quartet struck gold in the UK last year with a #1 single (Damn Damn Leash) and exhorbent advance from XL Recordings. Not bad for a band of 15 yr old art students from Nashville. Be Your Own Pet - "Feel Me Loud" (MP3) Be Your Own Pet -"Damn Damn Leash" (MP3) Soo many good shows tonight and not enough time for them all. I have waay too much work to do so I'll probably stay in. Have fun on the town tonight :) COOL ON THE INTER-NERD: God Bless Bloc Party DVD is out today. Watch the trailer here. Music Glob has a contest starring Mark The Cobrasnake up for the release The Lashes are up for Yahoo! Music's Who's Next. Go VOTE Kevin over at So Much Silence just ripped Tom Vek's KCRW performance from 5 months ago into 6 amazing MP3s. Ummm....yeah. GO FUCKING DOWNLOAD THEM RIGHT FUCKING NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kevin you just made me sooooooooo very happy... Birdmonster are in the studio here in Los Angeles recording their full length debut. They've started a great blog about the process which include some really bitchin photos done by drummer Zach Winters. These boys pretty decent writers too. I highly recommend. and yes, tom vek. swoon.
Munich is on my playlist - the whole Editors album is pretty darn good. Have fun tonight!!
Editors put on a great show at Spaceland last night. They remind me of Muse live -- very active onstage. This ain't no Interpol. So good that I am going to Cinespace tonight to see them again.
oh, and the boys from The Cribs were there to catch the Editors last night too.
awesome. im really sad i didnt go but i hate clusterfucks in small venues. my clausterphobia has been pretty brutal lately. i was in IKEA on saturday and nearly lost it
