CONNOR IGiF HUMP DAY PICKS

5.) Nathaniel - This guy joined iGIF just 3 weeks ago when we were still a blog in diapers. I honestly don't know how I would have run this blog by myself, and last week when I wasn't around he held up like a champ and saved my ass. So all my thanks and praise go to him.

4.) My Top 25 Songs of 2005. I posted this on Sunday, and also made myself an iTunes playlist with these tracks. Listening to one great song after another not only reminds me how great 2005 was, but also suggests an even more musically-prosperous 2006.
Hoo-rah!

3.) Sufjan. This may be an obvious choice...but there's something inspiring about this boy.
Maybe it's his music, maybe it's his ambition, but in any event every time I hear a song of his I can't help but feel good. I'm also seeing him on January 15th in NYC. Double Hoo-rah!

2.) Eagle*Seagull.
I discovered this band on MySpace a couple weeks ago and have been listening to them non-stop ever since. I honestly don't understand how their not of the same popularity as The Arcade Fire or Wolf Parade (which their sound hints at). Definitely check these few songs out:

Eagle*Seagull - "Photograph" (MP3)
Eagle*Seagull - "Your Beauty..." (MP3)
Eagle*Seagull - "Death Could Be At The Door" (MP3)

1.) Leftover Champagne - Mimosas in the morning, Hemingways in the afternoon, and straight-from-the-bottle by night. New Years was a blast, and a little too good to me in the alcohol department.
I've got about 10 bottles left over that I didn't even pay for, so if nothing else gets me through the week, that will.

JAX THE ROCK INSIDER'S HUMP DAY PICKS

5.) Oh No! Oh My! - "Walk In The Park" (MP3) - Retarded happy song complete with "Ba da dat da dat da's

3.) Pandora.com - This site keeps me thoroughly entertained midweek.

2. Birdmonster - "All The Holes In the Wall" (MP3) I seriously cant begin to tell you just how amazing this band is live. ive had this song stuck in my head all day. I blame you robot mark. I BLAME YOU!!!

1.) My iPOD Nano. I named her Nancy. She plays nothing but Tapes N Tapes, Goldspot, Ed Harcourt, Rufus Wainwright, Jose Gonzalez, and Tom Vek. I never knew what it could be like. siigh blisss......
