Ive posted about Forward, Russia! a few time and was planning on seeing them in Austin, but shit got waay too crazy. Lucky for me Western Migration has brought half the bands I missed in Austin to LA for the week so they can woo all the left side labels and press they missed in Austin. Forward, Russia! is in that sect and I couldnt be happier. Other bands hopping on the wagon train: The Noisettes, Morningwood, and the awesome guys in Tapes N' Tapes and Blackbud. I ran into the guys from The Lashes last Saturday at Morningwood's showcase in Austin. Somehow we all drunkenly ended up at a party on a roof where Gang of Four performed. Nicest guys in the world. I'd stumble up 7th street with them any day. They are midway through their Spaceland Residency and will be playing TONIGHT w/ Forward, Russia! [listen] [buy album] I also wanted to let all of you know that I am in the process of completely revamping Rock Insider. It's going to take me about a month to set everything up but when it's completed its going to rock even harder. What can you expect in the near future?
