Hanging out on Gallery Row drinking Chango coffee and vintage shopping has become a weekend tradition. I can't belive I didnt I have been a fan of the band since Mark at Music For-Robots sent me a few tracks when I first started this blog. I have never had an opportunity to see the band live (hence why I didnt put two and two together) but their EP, The Calvary Of Light, has been a sanctuary during the long arduous work day. Becky's voice is like a fresh tangerine, filled with a sense of awestruck beauty that is mysterious, mischievious, and inviting. Listen to "You Broke My Heart." What a gorgeous ballad. NEKO CASE Speaking of gorgeous voices, I have been listening to Neko Case's new album nonstop for the past 24 hrs. I never thought I would fall in love with a woman, and I have.........and her name sounds like a disney movie. I may be the last blogger in the world to get on the Neko train, but hey Im lazy, gimme a break. Neko's new album, Fox Confessor Brings The Flood, is quite possibly the most beautiful album I have heard in the new year. Glorious.
