Site Was Down...There Are Some New Rules

Okay okay so I have always considered myself a very nice and generous person when it comes to hosting MP3s on my site and turning the other cheek when people direct link to MP3s or stream them from my site without permission. I get that...Its cool.

So I try to login today only to find my site is down for exceeding bandwidth. I call my host and he says Im 223% over bandwidth. OVER!! insane. There unfortunately will have to be some changes around here.

(Chris you can ignore this next part, it's not your fault)

First off to the people who have been streaming The Blood Brothers, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arctic Monkeys, Editors, and Lake Trout tracks from my site on their Xanga, Myspace, and Livejournal pages....STOP. Tracks have been deleted. They took up 55% of my bandwidth.

Second, DO NOT STREAM TRACKS FROM THE SITE. PLEASE RIGHT CLICK SELECT "SAVE AS" AND DOWNLOAD.

Third, Other bloggers, DO NOT post direct links to MP3 download from my site without my permission. You can post a soft link to Rock Insider. Im sure you've all heard of technorati. I know how to track you down and I can bitch people out like no tomorrow.

That is all. I thank all of you for being avid readers of my site, but I am a poor girl sleeping on couches in Los Angeles and I cant afford bandwidth overages. If you want to keep RockInsider.com online you must use it responsibly!!
