Being a left coast blogger puts me at a slight disadvantage being that somedays I cant find the time to post until until my lunch break at almost 3 PM PST which is 6 PM on the east coast (Sorry NYC, DC, and Miami fans). I have been trying to wake up early so y'all can get your Rock Insider fix with your usual morning blog rounds. No luck. I like my sleep. Im lucky if I can get out the door to work by 9:50 AM.

Well today I woke my ass up, took a hot shower, and made a STRONG cup of coffee so I could bring you this news on time (or slighty late. Again truly sorry eastcoast).

Birdmonster's debut LP - No Midnight is finally available TODAY!!! It has been a labor of love and lot of hard work but the record is finally here and it is absolutely phenomenal.

I could hit you with some eloquent prose right here to describe how diverse and enigmatic this record is - and how even with 40 + repeat listens It is still stuck in my car stereo, but I'd rather spare you from my inevidable typos. No Midnight is the most entertaining album I have heard all year and simply ROCKS start to finish.

Stand out tracks "Cause You Can," "Bar In The Back Of The Basement," and "Of Mice" never cease to amaze. The album is the complete package, STRONG from the first powerful chord in "Skelton Suit" to the final twinkling notes of the epic "Spaceman" (download above).

Dear Birdmonster,

It has been my privelege and pleasure to be a spectator through every step of this process. On days like today I feel like a beaming proud momma bird. I am soo soo proud of everything you four have accomplished.

Sincerely, JAX

P.S. Happy Belated Birthday Zach!

You can purchase No Midnight now on "salesale" on their newly designed website, or on iTUNES. Also read more from the bird dudes in their blog.

What's up next for the band? Birdmonster will hit the road for small west coast tour with Division Day beginning April 21st. Check out dates here.

Rachael over at the Underrated Blog has a few good things to say about the record (Don't worry Rach, the record only comes paired with Bird Flu and not SARS).

COOL ON THE INTER-NERD:

GvB has Sound Team pictures from Wall Of Sound in Ft Worth this weekend. Also has Tapes N' Tapes Rolling Stone Review with some pretty interesting nods.

Yeah Yeah Yeah's new single isn't picking up at radio because DJs are to "Scared" to play it? Payola scandal finger wagging hits a new low. [Read More At Coolfer]
