LaMontagne is pretty awesome. I listen to his Trouble CD all the time. I also like "Crazy" by GB, but that's the best song they have...the rest are rather blah (even their cover of the Femmes' "Gone Daddy Gone"). But it's a good song, and I was glad to hear this version. Thank you.
Is it more or do the Kooks get a LOT of the lyrics wrong?! Ray's version is amazing though, gives the song a whole new edge.

This version is great! I heard it on the radio but didn't know who performed it. I'm definitely going to look into more of LaMontange's work.

If this guy is such a great song writer, why is doing a "cover" of someone else's. The words and melody are the brilliance of the song. While listening to it, I thouhgt of other ways it could have been sung or played, but you don't see me putting a video of my version on the web. The original IS the original. Period.
