Three fantastic bands featuring female fronted powerhouses will be plowing through Hollywood tonight: Morningwood, Rainer Maria, and Ambulette. Morningwood are finally back in LA from their tour with The Sounds. They are doing an In-Store TODAY at the Virgin Megastore Hollywood (You know the new one at H&H) at 6:45 PM then heading over to The Roxy for their first ever headlining gig in Los Angeles. Soo proud of them. RAINER MARIA [MP3] Ranier Maria - Burn The amazing music of Rainer Maria will be blasting down Santa Monica Blvd tonight as the band returns to LA to play the Troubadour TONIGHT. The new album - Catastrophe Keeps Us Together just hit stores on April 4th. I don't know why but singer Caithlin De Marrais' voice has a way of cutting down any bad mood I'm in. This record makes me nostalgic and is wonderfully bittersweet. A great find for the Spring. AMBULETTE [MP3] Ambulette - "Seconds Until Midnight" If you're going to the Rainer Maria show tonight be sure to get there early and see Ambulette. The band recently released their 5 song Lottery EP on Astralwerks. WHY YOU WILL LOVE THIS BAND: features the A-MAZING voice of Maura Davis of Denali fame. I think I spent the entire year I was in college OBSESSING over Denali. Ambulette is equally if not more amazing. The band will be on tour with Rainer Maria for the next two weeks before taking a break to record their debut full length.
