![]() FEATURED ARTIST: DELTA SPIRIT official site myspace [MP3] Delta Spirit - Crippler King [MP3] Delta Spirit - French Quarter I've said it before and I'll say it again - Delta Spirit are the friggin' incredible. I believe my previous EXACT quote included more than a few explicative deleted's so I slightly abridged it (I'm trying to cut back on the cuss words). You can use the word "Shampoo" in its place if you really must: "DELTA SPIRIT ARE THE FRICKIN' SHAMPOO" and you can quote me on that. Boo-ya, You might remember they played our Rock Insider Presents show back in October with Ferraby Lionheart and Jaymay. Delta Spirit brought the house down and turned more than a few heads. The band will be the Monday night resident at Club Spaceland all month long and will be playing at the Troubadour TOMORROW night with The Colour and The Prayers. Tickets are only $10. Upcoming Delta Spirit Los Angeles Shows: 12/6 Troubadour, CA – Troubadour (w/ The Colour) 12/11 Silverlake, CA – Spaceland (FREE, 21+) 12/18 Silverlake, CA – Spaceland (FREE, 21+) 12/26 Silverlake, CA – Spaceland (FREE, 21+) You can purchase Delta Spirit's latest EP - I Think I've Found It through Monarchy Music's website. The band is currently writing and preparing for a full length out sometime next year. They played two new songs from it at their residency show last night. I am beyond stoked to hear how the rest of it will sound. ![]() WHAT MADE MILWAUKEE FAMOUS [MP3] What Made Milwaukee Famous - The Jeopardy of Contentment Another band I caught last night were What Made Milwaukee Famous. The band is quite well known in the blog world (Stereogum is ALL about them) - But let's face it I'm severely slow. They put on one heck of a show. You can catch the band TONIGHT at Safari Sam's with Tralala and Jim Noir. COOL ON THE INTER-NERD: Jessica Simpson cried in front of President Bush after flubbing a Dolly Parton song at a tribute conert. Hahah. Sorry I know I shouldn't be such a hater - BUT THAT IS FUNNY TO ME [READ MORE] GorillavsBear.net posted their favorite songs of 2006 + Top albums list. It's going to be an exciting week in blogworld. [READ MORE] Kevin Devine is a personal favorite here at Rock Insider. He's a great performer and an all around awesome human being. Kevin just posted a new video for "Me and My Friends" up on YouTube. Ahh, that lovable Irish viking. [WATCH VIDEO] The Decemberists just released a short video of the band in the studio recording The Crane Wife. Part one is available now. Part 2 coming soon. [WATCH NOW] The Militia Group are now offering all CDs (including Denison Whitmer, Copeland, Controlling The Famous, Tahiti80, Fielding and more) on their website for just $7.50. post a commentI Gotta say I'm diggin What Made Milwaukee Famous BUT they sounded MUCH better live on Austin City Limits recently. Some bands have a difficult time replicating the energy they have on stage in the studio. Glad I recorded it the show!
