For those who aren't familiar with the feature it's simply a weekly spotlight of artists I have never featured on Rock Insider before. This week's artist: Arkansas based singer/songwriter Chase Pagan The wonderful folks over at The Militia Group sent me 5 tracks of Chase's a few weeks back. It took me a while to get it loaded into my computer - but I finally came around. I listened to "Spanish Tongue" to test the waters and by the end of song #2 I was HOOKED. Chase Pagan's music is filled with clever lyrics, catchy hooks, amazing harmonies, and has more than a few nostalgic moments (whistling is the new hand claps people. See my Peter Bjorn and John post below). Also included on the disc was "Play The Game" a simply FANTASTIC cover of the Queen classic. Such a great cover (and let's face it's very easy to MURDER Freddie Mercury) I just had to post it as well. VIDEO: Chase Pagan Performing In Someone's Living Room This summer instead of booking shows in sweaty dive bars with shady owners, Chase decided to do a small tour playing only in fan's living rooms, bedrooms and basements. The video above was shot at one such show. Currently Chase Pagan doesn't have an album up for sale - but with his recent signing to TMG we will no dount be hearing more in the new year.
