Last week I got a delightful and sincere message from Jay Lopez a.k.a Sofa City Sweethearts. He sent me a short but sweet message inviting me to listen to a few of his songs. What I found were 4 simply gorgeous 60s pop songs. Jay's quiet yet devastating voice conjures images of Elliot Smith and John Lennon. The above recording of "The Things She Do" is rough but the swinging rock anthem is definitely worthy of college radio rotation. Just wait till you hear Jay's falsetto. Amazing. I'm A Mommy! Everyone I want you to meet my new little man - ANDY! He is a 1 yr old purebred Maltese rescued from a shady breeder. A loving foster family took him in and I adopted him on Monday. He is the light of my world. I've been really lonely these past few weeks. I dog sat for my friend Kyra while she was at Coachella and it sealed the deal - I NEEDED A DOG! He is amazing a so well behaved its ridiculous. I hope a few of you will get to meet him someday!
