Mezzanine Owls + Robbers On High Street + 1990s

Mezzanine Owls

[MP3] Mezzanine Owls - We Don't
[MP3] Robbers On High Street - Married Young
[MP3] 1990s - Switch

Mezzanine Owls are easily becoming one of my favorite bands in Los Angeles today. I caught the four piece at Spaceland this past Monday at Eskimohunter's residency. Jack Burnside and crew played a bevy of new songs - all of which were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.

Just a year ago I was watching their first show EVER [See Photos Here]. It is a treat to see how far they've come and exciting to see where their going. Their live performance is at the strongest I've ever seen it. They positively exude confidence in every track. I've said it before and I'll say it again - I love the direction this band is going.

Mezzanine Owls are meant for so much bigger things than the microcosm of the east side. I wouldn't be surprised to see them with their own Spaceland residency and touring the U.S. by this time next year.

The band are currently writing their follow up to 2006's Slingshot Echoes. You can get your own copy on the band's website.

Be sure to catch them live August 7th at the Troubadour with Robbers On High Street and 1990s.
