Afternoons Announce Spaceland Residency - See Them This Friday!

The Afternoons just announced they will be doing the Monday night residency in June at Spaceland. The psychadelic indie pop group began as a side project of the much adored local act Irving and includes Irving members Aaron Burrows, Brent Turner and Steven Scott. Sadly, Irving quietly played what appears to be their last show a few months back as the members begin to focus more on other projects such as Sea Wolf. The Afternoons have been playing sporadic shows across the east side over the past year.

This Friday Rock Insider and The Fold will present their last scheduled show before the residency at the Bordello with Birdmonster and Little Teeth.

Birdmonster
just finished their full length debut for the Fader label and have been playing mostly new songs live. Little Teeth are best defined as the freakiest of freak folk bands. They are one of the most intriguing acts I've come across in the longest time. The band have really never played outside The Smell and pehrspace but recently have grabbed national attention after signing to Absolutely Kosher. Both bands are from the bay area and are stellar live. If you're in the mood for new music I suggest you come early and stay late!
