Awesome Color - Eyes Of Light

Derek Stanton, Allison Busch, Michael Troutman of Awesome Color. You may remember Awesome Color as that totally awesome Brooklyn by way of Michigan trio signed to Thurston Moore's label Ecstatic Peace! They're known best as that band who positively wailed before Dinosaur Jr and Sonic Youth's sets on their US Tours back in 2006. Awesome Color play radical psych rock with tons of delicious noise - AKA exactly what I was looking for in my late night internet wanderings. The band toured non stop in 2006 & 2007 - only stopping briefly to record a new full length which comes out April 29th. Check out "Eyes Of Light" - the first track to be unveiled from the album. It features loads of fuzz, crunch, and face melting guitar leads. The only words to describe it are "Bad" and "Ass." The band are doing a bunch of dates abroad before heading back for a US Tour.
