Recovering: The Henry Clay People 7" Release Show

The Henry Clay People @ The Scene (3/26/08)

I've been under the weather and recovering from The Henry Clay People's awesome seven inch release show on Wednesday with The Natural Disasters, Downtown/Union, and Aushua. Classical Geek Theatre and Squaregirls have a pair of mighty fine reviews of the show up on their site worth checking out.

The Natural Disasters and Downtown/Union were also celebrating the release of their new full-lengths respectively that night. Both played tremendous sets loaded with energy. The Henry Clay People's set was plagued with technical difficulties: broken bass strongs, amps on the fritz, guitar changes, and a broken drum. They saved it in the final inning and put on one monstrously awesome show. One of the best sets I''ve seen them play ever.

Eli from The Monolators, Maria From Le Switch and 2/4 Members from Division Day all joined in on the action. Check out photos below!

If you didn't pick up a copy of Henry Clay People's "Working Part Time" Seven Inch at the show you can order them online in our JAXART Store.
