Tapes N' Tapes - Walk It Off Full Album Stream

[MP3] Tapes N Tapes - Hang Them All (New Track)

I havent written about Tapes N' Tapes new album Walk It Off AT ALL part because posting time is precious these days and part because I still really miss their old bassist Sean Neary. It's not the same seeing them live without him - although granted he wasn't in the band that long to begin with.

Long term Rock Insider readers will remember this was one of my favorite bands back in 2005. They finished in a 4 way tie with Cold War Kids, Birdmonster, and Division Day as my most blogged about bands of the year. My love of them even spawned this photo:

Yes thats me. It was my birthday so dont bother me abt it
I couldnt sleep tonight so listened to Tapes N' Tapes new album Walk It Off - which is streaming for a limited time on their website. "Blunt" is my favorite track closely followed by "Say Back Something." Overall I feel the album is bit all over the place and doesn't flow like The Loon did. It sounds super polished mixed with calculated and predictable noise. I wasn't expecting a slam dunk with this record and unfortunately it met my expectations. Parts of it are great and show a lot of promise, but this is definitely going to be a slow burner for me and I feel a lot of people.

Tapes N' Tapes new album Walk It Off hits the streets April 8th via XL Recordings.

Preview Walk It Off at TapesNTapes.com until Thursday March 6th at 12 PM EST (Sorry left coast readers!)

You guys have to check out the Josh Dion Band. I have never seen a band like them. I saw them once in NYC and I have yet to find a band with as much soul as these guys. woozyfly. com/ if you go there you can see some exclusive concert footage live on March 12th.
