The Dears Sign To Dangerbird

The Dears (Montreal, Canada)

Back when I first started this blog I was absolutely obsessed with The Dears. They are both weird and classic at the same time. Some define their sound as Orchestral Indie Pop. I just think it sounds like a 60s pop station on barbiturates.  I even got to meet them up close and personal when Marjorie Fair and Shout Out Louds - both bands I worked with at the time were chosen to support them on tour.

The Dears new album is titled Missiles and will be released in the US on October 21st via Dangerbird Records.

PS. Dangerbird also released Darker My Love's new album 2 this week. The record really is amazing and I highly suggest picking it up on iTUNES today! Be sure to catch their CD Release show Thursday at The Troubadour with Tweak Bird, Amnion, and Eulogies.

If you haven't done so already, check out the new tune the Dears are streaming at their website. I assume it's from the new album. Love it.
