Best Of CMJ 2008 - Ponytail

Ponytail (Baltimore, MD) So many people have asked me this week what bands I thought were the best at CMJ. In all honesty there were only two bands I'd never seen before that positively blew me away. The first of which I will reveal today...Baltimore, MD based noise outfit Ponytail. I thought I would show you rather than tell. Their debut album Ice Cream Spiritual is filled with youthful hope, spastic guitars, and some of most intriguing vocals I've ever heard. They ooze high spirited energy and joy.
