Just a reminder THE MONOLATORS will be celebrating the release of the newet addition to their vinyl family TOMORROW NIGHT AT SILVER FACTORY STUDIOS.

So what's the newest arrival? A limited edition 12" remix EP for "We Fell Dead" featuring a cover by boxViolet and remixes by Odd Modern, The Sweet Hurt, and Boy Without Orange.

The record will be available on iTUNES and select Vinyl stores (think Origami Vinyl, Vacation Vinyl and the like) next Tuesday September 1st. TOMORROW NIGHT'S SHOW WILL FEATURE: Performances from Odd Modern and boxViolet as well as DJ sets by Boy Without Orange.

The 12" EP is being released on la-underground's own Los Angeles Loves Records.
We here at Rock Insider are huge supporters of any and all LA music blogs who start labels. Believe it or not LA Record (White Noise), Aquarium Drunkard (Autumn Tone), and of course this very site (JAXART) all have their own labels. We're just waiting on CGT and RFSL to get in the game ;)

InSound Announces 7 Inch Re-Issues

This news seriously made my heart flutter today. InSound announced that they will be teaming up with labels to bring back the art of the 7 inch with a series of re-issues from your favorite post punk and indie acts. They launched the series today with back in print release from The Ramones and The Replacements. Each release is limited to 1,000 only. I already ordered mine.

7 Inches are expected to ship before June.

Details for each release below!!

The Ramones – California Sun EP: Originally released on Sire Records in 1976 and back in print for the first time in over 30 years, The Ramones California Sun EP features the title track plus I Don't Want To Walk Around With You taped live at The Roxy on 8/12/1976. The B-side is the unforgettable studio version of I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend. This EP is highly sought after by Ramones collectors and goes for steep prices on the open market. The Replacements – I’ll Be You 7” Single: Back in print for the first time since the original release in 1989, this superb single from the Minnesota legends’ Don’t Tell a Soul album also contains a Non-LP B-side song Date To Church featuring the inimitable Tom Waits. Robert Francis + The Parson Red Heads TONIGHT at The Troubadour

Robert Francis (Los Angeles, CA)

21 yr old songwriter Robert Francis has been compared to Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Townes Van Zandt in the past. With comparisons like that it's easy to get lost in the hype. That could easily be the case but anyone who has seen Robert live knows that the buzz is warranted and the comparisons nearly spot on. ROBERT FRANCIS IS THE REAL DEAL.

His recent residency at The Echo brought out a star studded audience and featured some notable guest appearances from the likes of Pete Yorn. TONIGHT Robert Francis will headline the Troubadour - his first show since entering the studio with producer Dave Sardy (Oasis, Jet, OKGO) to record his Atlantic Records debut.

Robert will be performing new songs and showing Los Angeles exactly why he's one of the most exciting new artists to come out of this city in a long time. Download "Little Girl" off his first LP below. Robert was also recently featured in a full 30 minute episode of Last Call with Carson Daly. Head over to Robert's myspace page to check the video out!
